Both dogs were seen being put in a van in Poringland, Norfolk, NR15.
Owner Trish Bacon wrote:- I have five dogs, they were all playing in the garden at 6.45 am. My partner was outside with them. When he called them in only three came. We started calling and looking for the missing two straight away. I live in a very rural area and I am half a mile from my nearest neighbour. Our home is completely surrounded by fields, which is where we started our search.
The local police called me at about 9.30 to say they had been sighted playing in a field at the back of our home we went together with the police straight away but they had gone. We had already put up posters in the area and hoped that we would get a call to say they were found. It was reported to the police later that day that a man had stopped and put them in the back of his van!!!
The person who saw this had thought that they were being picked up by either the police or dog warden and until she saw us out later that day putting up more posters, had presumed they had been returned to us.
They were both hand reared by me and are incredibly friendly dogs who would be soppy enough to get in a car with a stranger!
They are both large dogs, easy to spot and are microchipped and neutered.
