One of those stolen, Priscilla, has an unusual talent – she howls along to the insurance comparison site, Go Compare’s advert.
Mrs Manson said: “It’s the worst thing that’s ever happened [to us].
“We’ve heard loads of stories about dogs being stolen and owners getting them back, but I can’t help thinking we won’t see them again.”
Mrs Manson is 16 weeks pregnant and fears the stress of the theft could harm her unborn child.
She added: “I miscarried before and I just get so scared it’s going to happen again because I just can’t stay calm.”
The three Chihuahua dogs were in their cages when they were stolen in the burglary.
Other items including a black iPad, diamond earrings, a black Kindle and a rucksack were also stolen. The couple’s car was also taken the following night.
Mrs Manson added: “I don’t care about the other stuff. I just want them.
“My message is just please bring them back. Do it anonymously, I don’t mind. Just please bring them back.”
Northumbria Police is investigating the burglaries.
PC Helen Swanson said: “We’re doing everything we can to find them so they can be returned safe and well.
“I’d urge any witnesses to the burglary to get in touch as soon as possible so we can find those responsible.
“I’d also appeal for anyone who knows the whereabouts of the stolen dogs to get in touch at the earliest opportunity.”
