STATUS UPDATE 19.03.14 – Poppy safe & well.
Poppy was found outside her home on Pershore Road on the day she went missing. The people that found her drove her all the way to London and held her for two days before attempting to locate her owners. On Monday evening we received a phone call from the finder. As they were not travelling back to Birmingham for some weeks, we set about arranging transport to bring her home as owner does not have any transport and an appeal was circulated for help.We wish to thank Debbie Matthews of Bruce Forsyth’s Vets Get Scanning/UK Get Scanning for microchips, for offering help, collecting Poppy from the finder last night, holding her overnight for onward transport to Birmingham today.We now wish to remind finders of stray dogs, that they have a legal obligation to report any found dog to the local authority dog wardens in the area in which the dog was found, failure to do so can lead to prosecution.It is also a criminal offence to attempt to rehome, give a way, sell an unreported stray dog. Plain and simple that is dog THEFT!
