Stolen dog Effie taken by three people in a transit van, 7th July’14.

***STOLEN DOG*** Nearly all of us will have at some point seen posts on Facebook doing the rounds about dog theft involving people in white vans. The majority of these are normally nothing but scaremongering but sadly there has now been a confirmed case of it happening to poor wee Effie on the 7/7/14 from the roadside by Fingask Castle in Perthshire. It has been reported to the police who are treating it as theft. For anyone who has lost a dog you will know what a horrible experience it is and it is adding extra worry to Effie's family knowing someone has her and what they could possibly be doing to her. Effie is a 2 year old liver and white English Spinger Spaniel who was wearing a red collar which says FINGASK 01821 670777 ext 5, when she went missing. She also has a full tail, it's not docked. Effie was taken by 3 people in a white transit van. This is the description which has been given of them. 1 overweight girl with tattoo's on her arm and 2 very overweight men – all with dark/black hair in their twenties. This is a heartbreaking time for Effie's family not knowing where she is and it will also be an added worry to other pet owners in the area. Please can I ask everyone to keep a look for anyone with a dog like Effie or if you see anyone selling a dog like Effie on any selling pages. Please keep a look out as well for anyone acting suspicious while you are with your own pets from the description given! If you have any information on Effie's whereabouts then please call the Police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
