This happened Tuesday morning the 6th November’12.
Email from Debbie who had her dog snatched:-
My husband and I were walking at Old Winchester Hill near Petersfield. We were on our way back to our car. We were walking single file me up front dogs in the middle husband at the back We walk like this as we are always careful to keep a close eye on our dogs. This Guy walks past us with a camera. In a matter of seconds our youngest dog had suddenly disappeared and so had the man. my husband went after him i stayed by what could only be the dog knappers car. Its a remote place not easy to walk anywhere from there. There is a lot more detail that proves suspicious behaviour with this guy. We only got her back because he knew we were onto him and he dumped her a very long way from where we were thank god we got her back.
Just to add when he came back to his car i confronted him, at first he was aggressive and denied it. Then he told us exactly where she was. I am one thousand percent certain he snatched my dog. Our dogs are on a whistle she comes back every time. She was just by our side then she and he had disappeared. She was found a long way from where we were. She is long haired and always soaking wet on walks when we found her she was totally dry because he had her in his coat.
The police were helpful but I didn’t have enough evidence but its logged. He was very quick and may have been watching us prior. He created a distraction as he walked passed with one of our other dogs. The dog he snatched was a 15 months old.
