Heartache over stolen spaniels

Police, investigating the theft of two English Springer Spaniel bitches from a Hampshire garden, today released photographs of the missing animals. It follows the theft of a husky in Southampton.

Police, investigating the theft of two English Springer Spaniel bitches from a Holbury garden, today released photographs of the missing animals. They were taken from a dog run in the rear garden of a house in Whitefield Road at about 8.15pm Monday, December 10th.

The missing spaniels are five-year-old Fenn and 15-month-old Ria. Fenn is mostly black with some white. Ria has a main black spot just off the spine and a smaller black mark at the base of her tail. Their owner is described as ‘distraught’.

Anyone with information about the theft or anyone who knows someone who has acquired or been offered one or two Springer Spaniel bitches since December 10 is asked to contact PC Alison Tilbury at Hythe Safer Neighbourhoods Team on 101.
