Millie picked up as a stray and scanned for a microchip and reunited.
Where has she been? Why wasn’t she scanned when she was found and kept or rehomed, has she been to a vet during this time with her new owner? These are just a few of the concerns for owners searching for their own missing pets!

Today we helped prove how effective microchipping can be! A little Westie was found straying in Leeholme Bishop Auckland, dog wardens scanned the dog and immediately found a microchip. Upon contacting Petlog it flagged up the dog had been reported MISSING on 25th July 2015!
If you lose your dog, in addition to contacting the Council, you should always report to Petlog, this prevents people being able to change the chip details and allows the finder to be notified that someone genuinely is missing the dog. Sometimes dogs are sold on, the buyer may not know the dog has been missing or stolen so you must remember the chip is the most important tool for reuniting your dog. Millie here is now safely on her way back home to West Yorkshire and we couldn’t be happier for her
