Notes from Borris’ owner:-

Borris is registered with identichip/Anibase Database.

Borris went missing on the 2nd June 2011 and picked up by the council on the same day.

The first time I knew Borris was found was  fifteen days after I reported he was missing, when a member of a vets in Clayton-Le-Moors phoned to inform me the family who had him had tried to microchip him but he already had one and was reported missing/stolen on the microchip’s base.

The database weren’t able to help as it was a civil matter but instead allowed the kennels and new owners to change his details knowing I’d reported him missing.

My details were up to date in my mother’s name as I’m 17 years old.

I went to the local MP, council and police ect., police didn’t help but the other two did sort of.
Since the dog warden is ran by the council she was aware of Borris’ whereabouts but didnt inform me.
Knowing they were in the wrong they did whatever they could to try and stop me getting Borris back or raising money to take it to court, saying I was lying, saying that I didn’t report him missing but the details were brought up that I had. They also accused me of animal cruelty and that’s why they didn’t contact me, because Borris is allergic to meat he has scabs on his head from the reaction which have never cleared up since he was a pup, so they didnt actually clear that up with me just accused me of making him fight ect. Whatever they could find, but I’d never do that obviously.
The MP knew they were in the wrong but because the kennels were in a different town he couldnt do anything other than write a letter.
The kennels didn’t find Borris’ microchip due to the fact they were using faulty equipment which they admitted to but still refused to get my dog back. The council ran a whole assessment on them again, which didn’t help me.
I still have all of his documents and registrations and vetenary papers
