An update on Pye, the missing cocker spaniel – **PLEASE NOTE – The picture is updated, it is not of Pye, but of a similar looking dog**:
Pye has been missing from Steyne House, Bembridge since Sunday 16th March. She is a 22 month old solid black black working cocker spaniel, very petite (still looks quite puppyish), incredibly friendly, microchipped, wearing a red collar, with a bone tag, with all the owners details on.
Pye’s family and friends (including local landowners) have been searching all land and woods in the area for her. Her owner is worried that Pye isn’t roaming (although of course she could be), but has been taken by somebody. Her owner is on the island visiting her daughter and is returning to Dorset today, however her family and friends are continuing the search for Pye.
If Pye has been taken, please share her details to make her “Too Hot to Handle”. Working cockers alongside other working dogs are very popular with dog thieves on the mainland. There is a chance that she could have been taken off the island – so if you’ve been on a ferry over the past few days and seen a dog similar to Pye, please let her owner know.
