Tweed was found wandering and dumped in Wantage less than 10 miles from where she was stolen.
This story shows us that microchipping your dog works but waiting nearly eight years isn’t quite how responsible owners are expecting this reunification system to work.
This is why we need vets to scan all new patients. We do not believe this dog has not been to a vet in eight years – and how many more thousands of microchipped dogs are still out there who haven’t made it home.
At least this story will give hope to many.
