A DOG which went missing has been found thanks to our Facebook post which was shared by hundreds of readers.
Maizie, a miniature poodle/Lhasa Apso cross-breed went missing from her Denby home on January 16.
Her owner, Gail Mayer, put an advert in the lost and found section of the Derby Telegraph.
Yesterday, the Derby Telegraph posted about Maizie on our Facebook page. The post was shared by hundreds of readers and seen by thousands.
Mazie is a female Lhasa Apso and is MICROCHIPPED.
As Mazie has been missing since the 16th January’14 and has not been reported to the local Dog Warden as found, which is law, we must now presume she has been stolen or kept by the finder.
A few days ago an awful lady knocked on Gail’s door to say she had found Mazie, her dog and had her in the car. Gail rushed out to the car, when she got there, there was no dog, and this horrid woman got in the car laughing, leaving Gail collapsed and sobbing on the pavement.
MESSAGE FROM THE OWNER:- Mazie means the world to me; I miss her so much she use to sit in the window until I came home, she loved me as much as I love her. I buried my mother the day before Mazie went missing so you can only imagine how I feel, I live alone she was all I had. I think she was coming into season, she has never had pups.
