Alarm bells are ringing dog owners living near us.
As you know dog napping has been somewhat a problem in essex and today i was approached at Bonchurch park by 2 men, one with a dog lead around his neck and no dog and questioned about my dog.
they had a white transit van (high top) partial reg no DC06 (i believe the last 3 digit were PDN but not 100% as they drove off at speed).
Now normally i don’t post but this was just wrong on all counts. One spoke to me whilst the other cased the location and he claimed to have a Presa Canario. Around 6 ft 2 tall, black hair, in his late 20’s early 30’s. well built. the second one smaller brown hair and slight build.
It’s probably nothing but worth keeping an eye out.
Peter Wilkinson went on to say:- Just to update everyone, this situation now has an incident number logged with essex police based at Leigh police station (collar number 72088) after a call from them today.
According to a recent Pet Theft Census, collated from official police data, 16% of stolen dogs are taken from owners whilst out for a walk! Please be careful out there!
