“Hi Emma, we believe we have located your stolen dog Cuba. Please call us as soon as possible” this was the message i recieved 2 days ago from RBKC Police…..They got a tip off from someone who said they believe a guy staying in a homeless hostle in Victoria has Cuba and has been taking him for begging. The police made their way there but they then called back to say that the guy had gone away ov
er night and will not be back until the next day!!! it was on that next day that i also got the call from BDCH 2 say they have a possible match 4 Cuba but they could not scan him as he was so scared, i really didnt think it was cuba 4 some reason but had to check it out anyway. When i go home i had a call to say could i come and see if this dog in Victoria was Cuba!! thye had asked him to come in and explained what was happening…When i got there and saw the door open and cuba running out i couldnt believe it! the video i posted was about 1hr 40 secs, i edited it down to 17 secs! It was truely amasing to see him again, so happy to have him back, hes lying down here next to me as i type….the guy who had him was a herion addict but he seemed very fond of Cuba, he says he only had him for a week and that someone had given him to him near Marlybone, which is where we had one positive sighting before! he was given to him with tight rope around his neck with has caused his neck to be very sore, he also has a small cut to his hind leg, bad itchy bacteria skin infection, cuba has also lost a lot of weight, the 1st thing i noticed was how thin he was, u can clearly feel all his bones, half the dog he was….He has been given worming tablets, anti biotics, anti inflamatory injection, steroids and a medicated shampoo too. We did not need reward money but his vet bill just for this visit was £151. If any of you who donated mind me using your donation towards his vet bill please let me know….we recieved £195 in donations!! thank you!!
Pc Phil Crowther a man who went beyond his duty to look for Cuba, and was eventually the one who received the tip off after sending an email to the hostel in question.
