We need your help to boost this petition! We have passed the 12,000 mark and will get a response from the Government but we really need to reach 100,000 by the 23rd May’14 to get a parliament debate on what pet owners want for their pets.

Just had a lovely invite from Anna Webb and Jo Good the Barking Blonds to go on their radio program while we are at Crufts!‘We will be broadcasting out of the halls again this year – but for 2 x hours (like the old days!). And we’d love it if you’d be able to spare 15 x mins from the stand to join us live on air? What with it being Pet Theft Awareness Week after Crufts, it would be so topical to mention this and your campaign – VetsGetScanning………….3-5PM on Thursday 6th March…on BBC London and online.’

Lovely Marc the vet, of Pup Aid fame was our first vet supporter seven years ago. Here he is showing his support to get the UK Scanning for Microchips. Stolen and missing dogs have have fallen through the huge loop holes in the microchipping system because Rescues, Highway Agencies, dog wardens and Vets do not all scan for microchips. MAISIE STILL MISSING.Sammie Thatcher had a busy day at Crufts yesterday, with her reunited stolen dog Tia. A photo shoot and interview with Petlog, then visiting stands for DogLost and Vets Get Scanning/UK Get Scanning.Although Sammy is ecstatic that Tia is home, who was found in a drug raid at a farm in Kent, where she had been used for breeding, her other dog Maisie is still missing.Facebook page to follow is:- https://www.facebook.com/FindOurDogs?ref=ts&fref=ts

HELP FIND ANGEL.We met up with Dawn Maw yesterday who is still searching for her stolen dog Angel, taken on 6th December’12, while on a walk in Cawthorne Basin, near Barnsley. A white van was seen driving away.Angel is a German Short Hair Pointer, microchipped and has a DNA profile.The campaign to find Angel has brought together many throughout the dog world and has included the formation of ‘Angel’s Army’, a group of friends and enthusiasts who have endeavoured to do whatever they can to find Angel.

According to a recent Pet Theft Census, collated from official police data, 16% of stolen dogs are taken from owners whilst out for a walk! Please be careful out there.
