A litter of five puppies and their mother were stolen by callous thieves from a farm in Albury overnight on Monday (29 July).The Springer spaniel puppies, which are just two weeks old, and their two-year-old mother, who is liver and white in colour, were stolen sometime between 5pm on 29 July and 8am on 30 July from a farm in Shere Road.
The dogs were taken from a stable at the farm and one of the puppies was left behind.
PC Donna Chandler, who is investigating the incident, said: “We are certain that the dogs have been stolen, rather than just running off, as the likelihood of the mother leaving one of her litter behind would be extremely unlikely. The mother was microchipped but the puppies weren’t as they were only a couple of weeks old.
“We are appealing to these thieves to bring the dogs back so the mother can be reunited with her other puppy. We are also asking anyone who may have been offered these dogs for sale or anyone with any other information which could assist, to come forward straightaway.”
