ORIGINAL POST:- Surrey Police is appealing for your help after a dog was stolen during a burglary in Tatsfield, 19th July’13.
The distinctive grey/blue Shar Pei called ‘Blue’ was taken after a rear door to the property in Lusted Hall Lane is believed to have been forced.
The dog is micro-chipped and is eight years old. She is described as having a prominent hernia that looks like a large belly button and her tail is slightly bent. She was on a light brown collar and lead when she was taken.
Witnesses have described seeing a small white van reverse into the driveway of the house at around 10.30am yesterday morning and two men walk around to the rear of the property. They were seen to take the dog on a lead and put it in the van with some other items and drive off.
The two suspects are described as white, tall with dark brown hair and both were wearing high visibility jackets.
Detective Constable Catherine Jenkin of Reigate CID, said: “The owners are extremely upset and I am appealing for anyone who knows the whereabouts of the stolen dog to contact police immediately.
“I am also keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the local area or who recognises the descriptions of the men in the white van to come forward.”
Anyone with information regarding the burglary is urged to contact Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference TD/13/3416 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
