Message from owner:- So after a few more phone calls from people who saw my desperate posters I can now piece together what happened to my boy Bertie.
At 12 midday I went to the shop round the corner. 12:10 two men entered my house. Seemingly there is nothing valuable. However, looking at Bertie I guess they thought they could make a bit of money by selling him on. I returned home at 12:25. I disturbed them and they jumped over the garden wall with my boy.
At about 12:45 Bertie was seen by about 3 people being dumped out of the back of a van (about two miles away from home). They must have taken a better look at him and thought no money to be made from him !!!! I’m glad they dumped him without harming him any more !!!
He must have tried really hard to limp home because then he was found by Shall Gotham and Kat Kat Busby !!! And lucky for Bertie they were doggie people !!!! He had a little overnight stay with them and Minnie the dog until I called the dog warden at 09:30 this morning !!! I rang Shall and burst into tears !! Sorry about that Shall. Then as Shall opened the door there was my boy !!!!
He’s slept for most of the day but has been by my side all day !!!! Even on his duvet in the kitchen !!!!!!
The police are on the case with finger prints and things !!! If I ever meet them GOD HELP THEM !!!!
But thank you for caring and sharing and hoping for my boys safe return !!!!!!
