BERTIE REUNITED UPDATE ❤️ Bertie has been found safe and sound! Thanks to some officers from Kent police, he was recovered last night. He is a bit dirty but absolutely fine. Thank you all very much for the help and support. Particular thanks have to go to Caroline Heaslip and Steve, who we know were as desperate to find him as we were. 30th August’16.
From Bertie’s owner:- Lots of people have asked how we found Bertie. Kent police had cause to look into one of the vehicles that had been at Ham when Bertie was taken. We had provided the registration number previously, and so it was on the police records. When the officers went to the vehicle, they noticed a dog tied up outside that looked out of place and so went back into the police computer system to see if there was anything of interest linked to the vehicle. They worked out from there that the dog they had seen was likely to be Bertie so got in touch with us and got the dog warden out of bed to go and scan for a microchip immediately. They went back to the site, confirmed it was Bertie and then brought him back to us straight away. No action is likely to be taken against the owner of the vehicle, and the police didn’t interact with anybody at the site because nobody answered the door and they decided to concentrate on getting Bertie, which we are content with.
BERTIE is a Male Cocker Spaniel Black (Age: Adult) Stolen from Ham House, Ham St, Richmond-upon-Thames, London, TW10 7RS, South East on Wednesday, 13th July 2016
We believe he was taken today whilst walking at Ham House with our dog walker. He was lost for 5 minutes heading in the direction of the main green where pople were parked and when our dog walker got there they were driving off. He has been going to this park for two years so its familiar territory for him. Please help.

Hi Everyone,
So far we have no update, but we want to say thanks to everyone for all their help. Three suspicious vehicles were seen in the area of Ham at the time of the disappearance of Bertie that may be able help in tracking down Bertie and bring him home to us safely. Please share to as many as people as possible.
