I’m home everyone!! I was found running around Harrold Country Park about 2 hours ago after probably being dumped and was taken to Sharnbrook Vets where I was scanned! I am very very happy and thank you so much everyone for liking and sharing, the publicity got me too hot to handle and eventually home!
Also thanks to The Pet Detectives, Beds on Sunday and Northamptonshire Police. So many people have helped us over the last six weeks – it has restored our faith in human nature. Happy Christmas x thank you thank you thank you x 18th December’13.
Original post:- Baxter is a 2 year old red and white male cocker spaniel with a white chest and tummy. He has a micro-chip and when last seen was wearing a red collar with a bone shaped identity disc with a phone number on it. He ran off between Avenue Road and Knotting near Rushden on 9th November at 10.00 am.
He was found sitting at the edge of the A6 at the Northants/Beds Boundary. The person who found him had read the disc and was about to telephone the number when Baxter was taken by 2 men, dressed in camouflage waterproofs, which suggests that they had been shooting close by. They were in a black/ dark coloured 4X4 and claimed they were Baxter’s owners. One is described as in his 20’s with short ginger blonde hair and the other in his late 40’s with short balding hair. Baxter has not been seen since. The police have been informed. Baxter is a family pet and not a trained gun dog.
A reward has been offered for his safe return. If seen please inform the police or ring 0797 641 7321.
