We have received a call from a concerned resident regarding a male acting suspiciously, appearing to be taking photos of her dog, a pedigree Chow Chow.
The resident had previously seen a Facebook post stating that dog thieves are marking properties with paint so that they are later identifiable to other thieves. On Sunday 9th November, the resident was taking her dog for a walk when she noticed a white male with dark hair and glasses sitting in vehicle described as a 4 x 4 who appeared to be taking photos of her dog.
When she returned home from walking her dog on Monday, she noticed a white letter ‘F’ had been marked onto her porch wall in paint.
We have not had any reports of stolen dogs however if you do notice anything suspicious, please call us on 101 to report it with as much information as possible.
