It doesnt matter where you are in the UK, if you have a missing dog, the advice is the same. Please ensure the following:
1. Microchipped dogs – ensure your contact details are upto date and register your dog as missing/stolen. The phone numbers for the four UK databases are below. If you are unsure which database you are on call Petlog and they will help you.
2. You notify the local authority dog warden in the area in which your dog went missing. Call everyday.
3. You notify the stray dog kennels – you can obtain their details from the dog warden.
DONT LEAVE IT TO CHANCE – REMEMBER STRAY DOGS ARE ONLY GIVEN 7 CLEAR DAYS FOR THEIR OWNER TO CLAIM THEM! THEN YOUR DOG CAN BE REHOMED OR PUT TO SLEEP.
