Stolen dog found strangled to death in Kettering
Benji, a 10-week-old Border Collie puppy, was stolen from its home in Kettering during a burglary. The dog’s body was found by the roadside two days later. The Border Collie was probably strangled to death before being dumped.
The Border Collie is said to have been choked to death before being dumped in farmland in Isham. It was left along with another dog – a Labrador puppy. Police confirmed they were investigating the puppy deaths and revealed there had been two more puppy thefts in the Kettering area in recent weeks – one in the town and one in Rothwell, according to The Evening Telegraph.
The RSPCA ask all the pet owners to have their dogs and kittens microchipped in order to increase the chances of being reunited with them if they are stolen.
Anyone with information on what happened to Benji, or the other puppy, is asked to call police 03000 111222 .
