Police appeal for help, woman assaulted and dog stolen, Salisbury, Wiltshire.

A woman's been assaulted and her dog has been stolen in Salisbury's Queen Elizabeth Gardens.

It happened at around 12.30pm on Monday 17 July 2017 but details have only just been released.

Wiltshire Police say they believe there was an altercation between a man and a woman where the woman was assaulted by the man who then took the dog she had with her.

A spokesman for Wiltshire Police has told Spire FM the woman was 'punched in the face'.
The victim suffered minor swelling to her face.

PC Matthew Cable told Spire FM:
"We are appealing for witnesses – if anyone heard or saw this incident or anything suspicious in this busy area of the city, around midday, please come forward."

"Also if you recognise the dog in the picture – perhaps you saw it in this area – please contact me."
